Ingredients: Red Kidney Beans, Jasmine Rice, Minced Onion, Freeze-Dried Bell Peppers, Born on the Bayou (Kosher Salt, Black Pepper, Sweet Paprika, Granulated Garlic, Granulated Onion, Oregano, Cayenne)
What You'll Need: 8 ounces Andouille Sausage (sliced), 1 celery stalk (sliced), 1 cup chicken broth
Stovetop Cooking Instructions: Remove bag of rice from jar and set aside. Add remaining contents of jar to a medium pot, along with Andouille sausage, celery, and 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then simmer, covered, 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until beans are tender. In a separate small pot, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add rice, stir, then lower heat and simmer, covered, 15-20 minutes, until rice is done. Serve beans over rice.
Pressure Cooker (Instant Pot) Instructions: Remove bag of rice from jar and set aside. Add remaining contents of jar to pressure cooker, along with Andouille sausage, celery, and 3 cups of water. Close lid and pressure cook on high for 30 minutes. Allow pressure to naturally release for 15-20 minutes, while you make rice in a separate small pot. Bring broth to a boil, add rice, stir, then lower heat and simmer, covered, 15-20 minutes, until rice is done. Serve beans over rice.
